Company

Software that does one thing completely.

Berth builds focused software products for companies and operations in the German-speaking market – across industries, product-driven, with AI as a tool in development.

About Berth

Berth builds its own software products for companies and operations in the German-speaking market. Each product solves one clearly defined task – from the first observation in day-to-day work to running the finished application.

It builds for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. That is not arbitrary: language, legal framework and established ways of working differ so clearly from other markets that a translated interface is not enough. Anyone building software for this region has to know it.

Berth started in Tyrol. Being close to small and mid-sized operations shapes the work: workshops, service businesses and organizations that need a dependable tool for one particular task rather than a platform that does a little of everything.

Why Berth exists

Many of the tools used in the DACH region were not built for the DACH region. They were translated: the interface is in German, but the workflows behind it and the legal framework come from a different market. It shows in exactly the places where it matters – data protection, contracts, support, established ways of working.

At the same time, platforms keep growing sideways. A suite covers twenty topics and none of them fully. If you have only one of those topics, you pay for nineteen more and still get a partial answer to your own.

Berth starts at that gap: one problem, one product, built for the market it is used in.

The question at the start is not what else would be possible, but what can be left out.

Software does not get better by adding features to it. It gets better when what it does works completely and reliably.

AI has shortened the path from an idea to a finished product far enough that even small, clearly defined audiences can be served properly. What gets built is still decided by a person.
